WHO WE ARE

Little Lambs Christian Preschool began as a nursery program in the fall of 1988, to “Know God and Make Him Known”. We started with a small group of less than ten children and have grown to an average of 65 children each year. We became a fully licensed daycare (able to offer full day care) in 2002. We are located at 500 Lagimodiere Blvd in the Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church, working in partnership with the onsite nursery school, E-Free Kids College Inc. 

A unique aspect of Little Lambs is our ability to offer both full-time AND part-time spots. We work with our families to set-up different full day combinations that works with their schedules. (Depending on availability.)  

We currently have capacity for 8 Infants (14-24 months), 6 Young Two's, and 32 Preschool children onsite each day for a total of 46 children! We love our families, and are so blessed by the large community we have each year.

Little Lambs follows the public school calendar from September to the end of June. This means we are closed for two weeks at Christmas, closed over Spring Break, and closed for all Statutory Holidays. We are, however, open for public school inservice days. Our care hours run from 7:30am - 5:00pm daily. 

We also offer a Summer Program! This 5-week program for our preschool aged children is filled with many special activities and summer-time fun!

Our Center is loosely theme-based with broad monthly themes, which also allows for emergent planning by our staff. We are very proud of our bright, well-equipped, newly renovated space, which offers many choices for the children during free play. Our large Preschool space used during group time are for music and movement, and theme/concept activities. At our disposal is a large gym with plenty of room to move around, stocked with many cool toys and equipment.  We also have a large, fenced-in outdoor space (brand new!) that we use often during 'good-weather' months, and whenever we can during the winter too. 

But our biggest “selling feature” is our wonderful team of staff-most with many, many years in the field! Each one is dedicated to providing the best care and attention to our children, including praying for our families and with the children. Our intent is to partner with our families to help children reach their fullest potential physically, emotionally, socially, cognitively, and spiritually.  Our Christian curriculum focuses on teaching children that they are loved and created by God, that He has a plan for their lives, and that we can pray in thankfulness, for help and direction in life.
